For those who don’t know what a Strata is: Strata is an American dish which is multi-layered and made in casseroles . It is mainly eaten for breakfast or brunch.

Here is a delicious recipe of Ham Strata by Chris Bradshaw

*9 slices bread, torn into bite-size pieces (any type)

cup diced fresh mushrooms (I had a few leftover cremini in the fridge)
cup chopped green bell pepper
16 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
cup chopped onion
2 cups cubed cooked ham
8 eggs
2 cups milk

Oil a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Layer half of the torn bread in the base of the dish. Sprinkle the mushrooms and pepper equitably over the bread layer. Sprinkle half of the cheddar. Top with the rest of the bread pieces, then layer with the onion and ham. Sprinkle with residual cheddar.
